Chinese Researchers Discuss Ideal Treatment for Premature Ejaculation ( PE )

Updated Jun 20, 2007 at 22:46 EST.

In volume 5 of Zhonghua Nan Ke Xue (Chinese journal) published in May 2007, JH Guo and B Chen discuss the latest updates to pharmacological treatments for premature ejaculation ( PE ). The researchers note that while behavioral methods have long been the preferred method of treatment for premature ejaculation ( PE ), the effects were limited and often short-term. There are pharmacological treatment options available, yet none are targeted specifically for premature ejaculation ( PE ).

Like previous research in the field, Guo and Chen feel that a medication targeted to premature ejaculation ( PE ) needs to be developed. Such a medication would have a rapid onset after oral ingestion, be able to be used on demand, effective from the first dose, and have little or no side effects. While there are options in the testing phase, none are yet available to the general public.
