In volume 18 of the
International Journal of Impotence Research published in 2006, MJ Dresser, et. al. studied whether or not the premature ejaculation ( PE ) drug dapoxetine
[Discussing New Treatment Options - Dapoxetine (
Priligy ™ ) ] interfered with the pharmacokinetic work of PDE5 inhibitors like sildenafil and tadalafil. Twenty-four (24) men participated in the study with some of them taking dapoxetine 60mg only, dapoxetine 60mg plus tadalafil 20mg, or dapoxetine 60mg plus sildenafil 100mg.
In analyzing the results, Dresser, et. al. noted that dapoxetine did not interfere with the pharmacokinetic work of tadalafil or sildenafil. There were some side effects reported, yet all were mild and posed no significant issues for the study’s subjects. If men are treated for both premature ejaculation ( PE ) and erectile dysfunction, using a combination of these drugs would not appear to pose any difficulty.
