One of the most effective ways to define premature ejaculation (PE), according to researcher Jon L. Pryor, MD is by the measure of control a man feels during sex. Men reporting premature ejaculation (PE) may feel as if they have no control over ejaculation timing. While the intravaginal latency time tends to be two minutes or less, time may not be the only factor to consider. For example, some men and their partners may be satisfied with a shorter ejaculation time.
Another factor to consider is the measure of individual and partner satisfaction. Men who report premature ejaculation tend to be less satisfied with their sex life as do their partners. Men without premature ejaculation (PE) report higher levels of sexual satisfaction.
