As a way to drop the number of incorrect prescriptions dispensed each year, physicians are now being encouraged more earnestly to prescribe electronically. Currently, only 20% of physicians prescribe electronically. Patients with premature ejaculation ( PE ) could see more of their prescriptions given electronically instead of the “old-fashioned” way.
The National ePrescribing Patient Safety Initiative aims to offer this service free to physicians who are willing to use it for their prescription needs. Dr. Nancy Dickey former president of the American Medical Association encourages electronic prescribing and sees it as one mechanism to improve patient safety.
