More results from the Global Sexual Wellbeing 2006-07 Survey indicate that Australians could experience higher rates of premature ejaculation ( PE ) than other cultures. Sexual encounters for most Australian men average 17 minutes, earning the country 17th place in the overall study that featured 26 nations and 26,000 individuals. Overall, less than half of the people surveyed indicated that they were fully satisfied with their sex lives.
Australians have sex at least twice a week on average, and while this number may appear high, it still lags behind both
Greece (164 times per year) and
Brazil (145 times per year). Australians finished 7th in the study in the percentage of people indicating that sexual encounters ended in orgasm on a regular basis with 58%. The Global Sexual Wellbeing 2006-07 Survey is due to be unveiled this week at a conference in
Sydney,
Australia.
