Johnson and Johnson are working hard to get their premature ejaculation drug dapoxetine ( Priligy ™
) on the market.
Although they were rejected four years ago by the FDA, this time around they are doing their best to not have the situation repeated.
They had plans to seek approval to sell dapoxetine in Europe and
Canada by the end of 2007, but no word has been released that the drug is out on the market yet.
New testing has been completed in Europe and
Canada and the total number of men tested for premature ejaculation is around 5,000.
When the pill is finally released on the market it is foreseen to have momentous results.
Morgan Stanley estimates that the pill will gross a $600 million dollar market by 2011, if Johnson and Johnson can get it approved in the
US.
