Janssen Pharmaceuticals are well recognized at the moment for their recent application for the marketing authorization of Dapoxetine ( Prilogy™ ) a pill created to treat premature ejaculation.
Janssen-Cilag applied for the authorization last month in Stockholm, Sweden.
Janssen pharmaceuticals are not only working on premature ejaculation treatments, they have also
updated their prescribing information for ORTHO EVRA® (norelgestromin/ethinyl estradiol transdermal system).
The update includes further epidemiologic information.
The new labeling includes two new additional estimates of relative risk (odds ratios) for venous thromboembolic events (VTE) of 1.1 which indicates no increase in risk and 2.0 indicating an approximate doubling of risk in women using ORTHO EVRA® compared to women using birth control pills.
The old label had outdated information stating a 2.4 doubling of risk in women using ORTHO EVRA® compared to women using birth control pills.
