According to Vectura, the inhaled medication VR776 being developed to treat premature ejaculation ( PE ) may need to be reformulated. Men using the drug in clinical trials report excessive coughing episodes, despite its success in treating premature ejaculation ( PE ). The next stage of clinical trials is currently under development.
The first trial included 40 men who all completed the trial with only mild-moderate side effects. The most notable side effect was coughing. VR776 reports an onset of less than 15 minutes, and the study does not include information on increased length of time to ejaculation.
