With so many premature ejaculation treatments going through clinical trails such as Dapoxetine ( Prilogy ™ ), ss cream and many others, medical experts are using many different tools to measure these treatments efficacy.
Stanley A. Althof reviews some of these devices in his recent article in November 2007 issue of the Urologic Clinics of North America.
One measuring tool is The Premature Ejaculation Profile ( PEP ).
This contains four questions assessing perceived control over ejaculation, satisfaction with intercourse, personal stress and interpersonal difficulty related to premature ejaculation.
The questionnaire has been criticized for not being a sufficient measuring device for evaluating the changes which occur during and after treatment.
The questionnaire has also been criticized for being too short and not because of this may limit the amount of accurate information it can measure.
