SSRI s the differences between generic and name brand names

Marcel D. Waldinger published an article recently on premature ejaculation in the November 2007 issue of the Urologic Clinics of North America.   He makes some interesting points about the differences between generic and brand name SSRI medications.

SSRI medications are selective, serotonin, reuptake, inhibitors these types of medications were first recognized for their ability to treat depression.   Now the drugs are also prescribed off label to treat PE.   Waldinger notes in his article that in a few publications comparing the efficacy of generic SSRIs and brand name SSRI’s, it was shown that there is evidence of differences between the generic and brand name versions.
