There are all kinds of methods doctors use to diagnose premature ejaculation ( PE ) in their patients.
To date, there are no agreed upon methods of testing for the condition.
The journal of Sexual medicine published the findings of an interesting study in their January 2008 edition about the significance of Serum leptin levels when diagnosing premature ejaculation patients.
The study results showed leptin levels in premature ejaculation patients were significantly higher than in the control subjects. More studies are still necessary to determine the exact value of serum leptin as a tool for diagnosing PE.
