Marcel D. Waldinger explores the different types of on demand treatments for premature ejaculation in his recent article, in the November 2007 issue of the Urologic Clinics of North America.
He mentions, Phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors such as sildenafil, vardenafil, and tadalafil.
These are on demand drugs which
have been tested to treat premature ejaculation ( PE ).
There have been some studies conducted about the efficacy of these drugs.
But the reliability of these studies is arguable.
Waldinger sites one study, which he believes to be an accurate assessment of the drugs` potential.
This study showed no effectiveness over the control of ejaculation, except in the treatment of men who are also suffering from erectile dysfunction at the same time.
