Previous studies conducted in
UK health clinics, concluded that men from Western back rounds are less likely to suffer from premature ejaculation ( PE ) than men from other regional groups.
A new study aimed at testing the relevance of these old findings, was reviewed by Frewen A in the September 21, 2007 publication of The Journal of Sexual medicine.
Patient files of 215 men from an urban sexual health clinic in
Sydney were examined over a three year period.
Men included in the study were from one of two demographic areas, Western countries or Middle Eastern/Central Asian countries.
The men from Middle Eastern/Central Asian countries presented many more cases of PE than other sexual dysfunctions.
The men from this group, Middle Eastern/Central Asian who presented PE symptoms also had a very high rate of cases compared to their population within the clinic and also compared to their population in the broader community of
Sydney.
These new findings proved the old data to be an accurate assessment.
Men from Middle Eastern/Central Asian countries living in Western regions of the world are more likely to present symptoms of premature ejaculation than Western men.
