The recent change in how doctors evaluate sexual dysfunction Updated Nov 14, 2007 at 7:44 EST.
In the past, the usual conversation between a patient suffering from sexual dysfunction and his doctor focused on the patient`s erectile dysfunction ( ED ) problems.
Although impotence or ( ED ) is not the only type of sexual dysfunction, premature ejaculation is also a very common affliction.
Recently the flow of this doctor patient visit has changed and now doctors are exploring many different avenues when this problem is brought up.

writing for The Urologic clinics of North America published an interesting article in the November 2007 issue about this recent change.
Now when a patient comes to a doctor complaining of sexual dysfunction the visit usually turns into an exploration of a variety of factors.
The patient is not only questioned about whether he suffers from premature ejaculation ( PE ), he is questioned about his libido, about the sex glands in his testes (hypogonadism) as well as his cardiovascular health.
A cardio vascular assessment is now usually part of this visit because of new data suggesting that (ED) may be a warning of cardiovascular disease. Written by the PEhomepage.com Editorial Team. Back to Articles Latest News Archive E-mail a Friend
