Treating PE without SSRI medications

Updated Jan 9, 2008 at 7:56 EST.

Premature ejaculation is often treated with SSRI medications.   These are selective, serotonin, reuptake inhibitors which are usually used to treat depression, but have proven effective for the treatment of premature ejaculation ( PE ).    Patients who are not interested in this type of treatment have many other options.   There are all kinds of topical treatments available including TEMPE spray which has had very good results in clinical trials and ss cream a natural alternative which has also proven effective in testing.

Besides topical treatments there has been some recent published evidence that yoga can also be effective in treating PE.   Besides this, many doctors recommend psychotherapy for the treatment of PE.   Finding the right treatment can often be accomplished when Doctors gain a good understanding of the patient’s medical history and psychological state.
