The flaws in premature ejaculation definitions

Updated Nov 24, 2007 at 5:8 EST.

In the November 2007 edition of the Urologic Clinics of North America, Stanley E Althof and Tara Symonds make some significant points about the way the medical field defines Premature Ejaculation ( PE ).

They point out the way Waldinger et Al (well known for writing numerous articles in Medical journals about premature ejaculation) defines the ailment.   He categorizes it by stating that men with IELTD scores of less than one minute have definite PE, where as men with scores between 1 and 1.5 minutes have probable ( PE ).   Stanley E Althof and Tara Symonds feel this type of classification is not specific enough.   More sub classifications should be invented to properly define this sexual dysfunction.
